Do you remember the love letter I wrote to El Nido? That beautiful village on the island of Palawan, the Philippines? I could write more and more about El Nido. Say that El Nido still remains in my mind, no seconds less than when I wrote that long letter. I could go on about how phenomenally beautiful it is there. I could whisper that I’m still in love with his whimsical shapes with razor-sharp edges, the hidden bays with white sandy beaches, with all shades of blue water. I could tell you how I am still ready to get handcuffed. I would be able to write a new love letter as well. I still get blushes when I think of him.
But, I’ve have made a promise in my previous letter. “You brought me to a state of pure happiness with the boat trip along your many uninhabited islands. I will show it to them, I promise you, and I will give them a taste of this experience. But that experience deserves her own story. First I will share your true nature, El Nido. I will show you, just as you are. A beautiful, almost unattainable town with happy people, an atmosphere that allows you to keep your charm and insane, insane, insane nature.”
Those islands, that is what this story is all about. We’ve explored those islands by boat. I’m not going to write a new love letter, I just don’t have any words left. Just look at this. I hope that one day you could discover this place by yourself. It is one big playground, with countless hidden islands, but one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. And if you still do not believe me after seeing these pictures, I will share the travel film about Palawan we’ve made yet again. Dream away.
