At the end of last year (that sounds weird now), well, a few weeks ago we were invited to explore Ghent in Belgium. We stayed for two nights at Hotel Harmony. A great place, I’ll tell you. I still hear the Belgium language sing in my mind and when I think of that soft mattress, my head is in the clouds again. That bed made me almost buy a hotelbed myself. Hallelujah!

Hotel Harmony is a family hotel set in a stately building located in the Patershol district. This is, in my opinion, the nicest area in Ghent, with culinary hotspots on each corner of the romantic streets. From our room we have a breathtaking view of the city with its historical façades and the three towers of the Saint Bavo Cathedral, Belfort and Saint Nicholas Church, Our spacious room has a corner bath …. and did I mention that the bed is so comfortable? After a lovely breakfast we can discover Ghent this weekend. Unfortunately for us it is raining cats and dogs. The more reason for me to take baths every part of the day, because relaxing in this spacious room is not that hard.

The second night we noticed a piece of paper in the elevator: free tapas in the hotel lounge between 18:00 and 20:00. As befits a real Dutch woman I take a look and that didn’t disappoint me: tasty tapas! In summer there is a courtyard garden and a swimming pool, and when it is no longer rains we will return.
