FIRST OF ALL. Watch our travel movie. Nepal is mesmerizing.
1.Because it’s a beautiful country
We must be clear about that.Nepalis really more than beautiful andthereisvirtually nothing changed. It is oneof the most beautiful andparticular countrieswhere I have been with her beautiful cities, national parks, the insanelyhospitable people, the impressive templesand traditions, the overwhelming natureand the particular culture. It is a countrywhere Ifeltat home right away, howbizarreimpressive it might be.I embraceNepalanddon’t let hergo. Ever. Because damn, she is beautiful.
2. Because Nepalis safe
How terrible it may be, landslides and earthquakes in Nepal arenothing new.Yes, the earthquakethis year wasexceptionally heavy and devastating.Nepalhas suffered, like many countries in the worldsuffering fromnatural disasters such as hurricanes, typhoons, blizzards andfloods.ButNepalis in reconstruction andtourismis essentialfor the restoration ofthisbeautifulcountry.
Hotelsandrestaurants inKathmandu,Patan, Bhaktapur, Pokhara,ChitwanandLumbini are open. All hotelshave been inspected after the earthquake. The hotels(90%)have greenstickers andcertificatesthat indicate that they are safe. There are nofood orwater shortages inthe tourist areas. There are plenty of guides available.Manasluand Langtangare the only twolarge treksinthe mountains thatare currently closed.Allother toursare open.I also hearthat peoplewould feelguilty if theyshould go now.Guilty?Youshould beproud. You will help theresidentsright now if you traveltoNepal. In addition, italso allows youto show other peoplethat it is safe.Spread the word,Nepalis amazing.
3. BecauseNepali are the sweetestpeopleonEarth and they can’t wait to welcometourists again
Really, thepeople inNepalare sosweet,so warm andso pure.Theare reallyone of the mostsweet andhospitableresidentsI’ve metduring my travels.I havea lot of contact withmy friends inKathmanduand Pokhara. The touristsare gone.80% ofthe hotels arecurrently empty.Busesare waiting, natureis stilljust as wonderful as alwaysand thetour guides can’t wait to go trekking in the mountains with you. They just keepasking me ifI can please ensure everyone thatit is safe.
If you haven’t been toNepal, it is difficult toexplainthe nature ofthe Nepalese people.TheNepaliare notpeople whogive up, gosit down andwait for help. They areactively engaged inthe reconstruction of the damage. They makejokes.Buildings arereconstructed.Temples are restored. It ismore than ever a time whenNepalis waiting forvisitors. They wait for you.You will be welcomed witharms openand a big smileon their faces and I haven’t seen otherwise.
4.Because youcan helpthem by visiting
Nepalis a country thatlargelylives offtourism. The people havelosta lot,but now runthe risk of not having an incomeor a job too.Ourfriend TonyinNepalhas set up aninitiativeafterthe disaster.Together with a teamthey bring food and otherstuff on motorbikes toremote places, topeople who don’tget help. It is nowmonsoonand many peoplelivein tents. They haveonly half theyearto earn money anda large partof it isallwiped out.You canstillfollowthe team here.Ithink it’s fantasticwhen you havesupported them or have transferred moneyin any way, butthe very bestway to help Nepalis togothere yourself. Autumn isa beautiful seasontotravel in Nepal.I say…do it.This year.It is one of the most beautifultrips thatI have made andI am sure you will feel the same way.
5. Because everyone should see this with their own eyes
The Himalayas. What a beauty. It is possible tomake beautifulmulti-dayhikes through thesemighty mountains.I did a trekking throughthe Himalayasand that was simply amazing. We have made a trekking organized by Happy Treks Nepal and it was perfect. We had a lovely guide, the journey was beautiful and everything was very well organized. I will write an article on the trip soon. Mr. Happy is a very nice man and he did some great volunteering work after the earthquake, besides his other voluntary work helping Nepalese schools. A trek with his company is very much recommended! The mountainsare callingyou. This is something you should do and see yourself. If not now, when?
